This Chilean brand markets 100% natural alpaca fiber. Pilar and Álvaro’s project was born in the middle of the pandemic to rethink the globalized industrial world and offer an ethical and sustainable alternative.
The Chilean Altiplano is a unique ecosystem in the world, where alpacas live freely, cared for by families of Aymara origin. Oveja Lesa works directly with them. In this way, they maintain their ancestral traditions of alpaca fiber production, inherited from generation to generation. They shear, clean and spin the fiber by hand, in a sustainable, slow and conscious process. Their color palette is natural tones or dyed with organic dyes.
Oveja Lesa offers an original product, creates value in sustainable processes and participates in fair trade. Thus it achieves a participatory and circular link in its environment, in a collaborative environment.
